Prayer definitely changes things. As The Apostle Ppaul says:
2Corinthians 4:8 ¶ We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; 2Corinthians 4:9 Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;
Jesus Says:
Mark 10:27 And Jesus looking upon them saith, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for with God all things are possible. (KJV)
